Kinetic Massage 12 Hr CE
A movement based massage modality.
In this hands on course you will learn a stand alone table stretch routine that can be adapted for up to a 90 min Kinetic Massage session, or broken down and added into the table sessions you are already doing to further enhance your work. Because this modality requires no extra equipment, you will be able to implement the new routine and techniques into your practice immediately following this course.
Learn to use a combination of compression, stretching, rhythmic movement, real time assessments, and utilize the leverage of the client's body to more fully access the muscles 3 dimensionally.
Reach a broader client base by learning highly effective techniques that can be done though the clothing. Set your self apart by offering a modality that will restore natural movement to the body, leave your clients feeling energized, and wanting to come back for more!
Kinetic Massage Level 2
6 hR CE
In this 6-hour NCBTMB hands-on course, we will dive deeper into Kinetic Massage combining the concepts of active movement, passive movement, static holds, and contract/relax, giving you an arsenal of advanced techniques.
Gain insight into identifying and addressing common tension patterns in clients, and learn which techniques to group together to develop targeted treatment that will restore balance and alleviate discomfort.
Explore how to communicate and interact with the nervous system using the principles of the Gate Control Theory to modulate the perception of pain and help facilitate change in the body, allowing you to be more efficient in how you administer effective and lasting techniques.
passive Movement
The therapist administers therapeutic movements to the client. The intro to KRT (Kinetic Massage) class is all passive movement, however we add a few more techniques in Level 2
Active movement
The client initiates the movement. This is done after the passive movement. Passiveive movement helps settle tension and reduce the element of surpirse.
Static Holds
Client is placed in a strategic position to stretch, relax ino that position, and open up movement opportunities.
Contract/relax
Client is instructed to contract, hold and then relax.
Applied Body Mechanics 6 HR CE
This is a fun hands on class where we explore movement in unique ways to get you thinking outside the box and give you more body-saving tools and techniques. In this hands-on class, therapists will learn about movement within the kinetic chain, leverage, stability and have a chance to analyze their own body mechanics. We will practice assessing posture by applying the skills learned in the class to make micro-adjustments which will increase power production while decreasing energy output; reducing strain in the body to prevent over-use injury.
In this course we cover:
• Assessments
• Posture
• Movement
• Pressure
• Technique
• And self care movements
